The Farm

The gypsy caravan is situated on a working beef and sheep farm, it is high on the hill behind the farmhouse  tucked away in its own secluded space, with fantastic views of rolling fields, and above all peace and quiet.

Living

This unique holiday gives you total privacy for two people. Unfortunately we can not accommodate children or pets….this is purely a luxury romantic retreat for two!

The Gypsy Caravan is where you will snuggle up to sleep in a small traditional double bed with big fluffy pillows and a duvet. Here you will find a collection of country books with information on how the Romany’s lived and pastimes of countrymen. There is the local OS map, binoculars for bird watching, books on country pub walks in the locality, and a digital radio to relax to.

The Shepherds Hut is just a couple of steps away, this has a small slate top kitchen with all the cupboard essentials, a full size cooker and fridge, sink and small table and chairs. There is also the roll top bath in the hut, where you can enjoy a relaxing bath soak and glass of wine whilst looking out of the stable door down the valley for a couple of miles, with nothing man made in sight…you are totally on your own!

In the evenings you can relax by the beautiful, antique Kadai firebowl whilst cooking delicious on the hot stone tripod, making for long evenings spent chatting and gazing at the millions of stars in the dark and silent night sky with the occasional ‘hoot’ of an owl!

There is a picnic bench where many a meal has been enjoyed taking in the view of over 50 miles and the peace and tranquility of the isolated valley.
In the ‘Tree’ behind the wagons is the toilet, with a wooden bench seat and a compost system, this is luxury living in the outdoors!

The ‘shed’ houses the immersion tank for  hot water, and wood and charcoal for the fire bowl. Both of the wagons are beautifully lit with electric antique lamps, and there are power points to charge your phone if you really can’t leave the 21st century behind you!
